Believe me, plenty of older women are guilty of the same thing. And for some reason, the younger generation has a few crazy ideas as well. And maybe your parents? Most kids get “gender targeted” toys from what it seems. I guess everyone’s kind of guilty.

Here it is! I’m not 100% sure if I like how it came out… it almost seems a bit too cutesy for the subject. Maybe I just like drawing cute clothes and bright colours too much!

This is for a contest with the Canadian Human Rights Agencies for their conference in May. All the Advanced Illustration students and Design students had to enter as part of their final. Kinda pissed that they required us to print it off at 24 x 36…. which I think is way too big and expensive ($50!!) for most students and their budget. We don’t even get to keep the posters. And the top prize is only $200. I feel kinda ripped off. :/

EDIT: A couple of people have sent me notes saying that “Transgendered” is incorrect terminology. I apologize, I kind of added the text last minute, and should have known better. I’ve uploaded a fixed version. :)

So i woke up today, doing my regular routine. I checked facebook, reddit, youtube, and finally tumblr.. Boy was i wrong in doing that today.

AmazingAtheist, known for being controversial, decided to post his opinion on muffins. Now, just to let my dear readers know, i’ve always respected AmazingAtheist’s choices and opinion on even the most controversial of topics (Rape, feminism, atheism, etc), but i feel that this time, he’s gone overboard. No longer can i just stand there and watch.. I have to say something.

Who the fuck do you think you are, TJ? Don’t you know that you liking muffins is offensive to me? Nay.. To my people, to my race, to my nationality, to my sexual identity! How insensitive can someone be? I mean, never mind defending rape jokes, being lenient on suicide or hating on god. This is just.. Aaargh! It makes me so mad. You know, i was mad about the injusticies on transsexuals, but that’s all forgotten now. Him being in favor of muffins is just the worst! I can not stand by it.. TJ.. The way you phrase it here makes it seem like you don’t even want to give basic rights to homosexuals.. Which is the truth. And that means you have a problem with homosexuals, as much as you don’t want to admit that. But it’s true.. You’re a homophobe, Harry.

Who am i to argue the points of Ernest Hemingway, a journalist, a Nobel laureate.. No one, really. But at least i could try to make some sense out of it. Or make a fool out of myself. Whichever comes first.

So first of all. “A feeling for beauty”. The best people has that, he says. But what does “A feeling for beauty” means? He doesn’t say “feeling for beauty”, so i’m guessing he isn’t trying to bring objectivity into something as subjective as feeling for beauty. But rather, a feeling for beauty. Which means that, as long as you’re able to feel a sense of beauty, for anything, you’re part of the best of people. But i have to ask. Doesn’t everyone have that? The reason why there’s a beauty ideal in different cultures is because we all have a feeling for beauty. Same goes for architecture. We all have it, i think.
But maybe he was referring to the simple beauty of nature. Considering his literature (What little i know of it), i would suspect that is what he means. And i guess that’s something not everyone has.. Maybe.. It’s very subjective, i feel. I don’t really know what he means by it.

“The courage to take risks”. I agree. The best people has that courage, if you ask me.

“The discipline to tell the truth”. This is a very Christian thing to believe, i feel. Because “discipline” would imply that you follow punishment morals. So instead of telling the truth because of empathy, altruism or what have you; you tell the truth because you’ve been raised or trained that if you don’t, you’ll get punished. And i personally don’t believe in that. So here, i have to disagree. You can be a good and honest person without any of that.

“The capacity for sacrifice”. That would be very altruistic, so who am i to argue this point. That is, assuming that he means self-sacrifice.

So the ironic part is that you’d expect a person of such great moral standards to be strong, but in reality, it makes them vulnerable. Well.. I would probably include some things about being able to live with your heart on the outside is virtuous, and not something bad at the end. But i feel that i’ve embarrassed myself enough. I like you, Ernest, but i can’t take to heart, what you said here.

And who is saying “The death of RSS”? It’s more popular than it’s ever been. People seem to forget that those podcast feeds that they love oh so much — you know, the ones on iTunes — Are RSS feeds.

Everyone is self critical, so it's normal, especially for you as you want to look feminine, but you do already so you'll look even more amazing after these hormones, just try and feel good about yourself :3

I don’t know the whole story or the context, but nothing about that rant screams “Transphobic” to me. If anything, he should have kudos for not being transphobic when he’s obviously angry at this woman. He doesn’t throw out “Tranny” or anything like that at all.

You’ll have to do a better job pointing out the specifics that you think is transphobic (Ranting “fake” at a transsexual really isn’t enough. I’ve heard lots of cisgendered people getting called that too. It seems to be a fairly common thing people say when they’re angry), or maybe do a better job explaining the context and the whole story. Because from what i see here, it is not transphobic. And i’m transsexual by the way.

Anyhow. Like to hear from you and i’d like to see a more in depth explanation as to why you think he is transphobic.

Personally, i would say: “For the same reason you don’t have to be a gamer to support the free expression of the artform, you don’t have to be gay to support the free expression of love between gay people.”

…But this just makes me sad. I like the art they make, but I don’t think their art is enough to cause the whole world to kiss their feet. They’re on the front page whenever they submit something, and this just really shows their colors. I love their art, I sincerely do, but this makes me enjoy their art a little less now… I think other artists deserve to be on the popular page instead of the same ones all the time who already have so many views and watchers. The song isn’t bad itself, it just isn’t accurate at all. I mean, normally, i can look past faults that people make when making parodies involving videogames. It happens. But lately, i’ve been seeing a few “my favorite TV series as a SNES RPG” parodies crop up.

And.. Well.. They’re all terrible. There’s no understanding what so ever of the source material. And i know this is just geek out on my part, but i feel the people responsible for these videos are all posers, who want to be hip with the cool kids. And since i was mocked for being, back then, a nerd who could never be part of the cool kids club, i find it only fair that i should get to mock these posers now.. Kinda.. Actually, i just do this cause i’m bored.

First of all, no snes game ever looked that way. The general feel is off, and the graphics capabilities on the textures and sprites are simply wrong for the most part. And the music sound nothing like a SNES. I mean, was it soo hard to do the 10 minute extra effort to render the song with a SNES midi sheet? But that’s the problem, isn’t it? A complete lack of understanding of the source material. I’m sure you did a good job with the TV series part of it, i wouldn’t know, i don’t want TV series very often. But the videogame side of it, just wrong.

So in conclusion. The internet will never be satisfied. OP did NOT deliver, so i will not hold on another minute to see if OP will. And.. Yea.. kthxbye!1one

….and I had to go outside cause i had a Chinese-level test thing, and you can literally see the air pollution…..i can feel my lungs…
